What the world needs from the Church
Power of God's Holy Spirit to unite the Church, which is the Body of Christ and the everlasting Bride. The Church is so fragmented with men's wisdom and doctrine that we are not one. The Lord said we would be one as He and the Father are one. Brothers and Sisters we are one alright; one big mess. While many might be offended by these words, you only have to look at the organized church that proclaims to be part of the Body of Christ. "Having a form of Godliness but denying the power thereof." God says get away from them.
Matthew 12:25b - Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
Where does the church stand? The church is ordaining homosexuals, failing to take a stand against abortion, and the pulpits are quiet to speak against sin for fear losing a church member. 1 Peter 4:17/18 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
Matthew 10 34/36 - Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
Jesus is making a statement that He and He alone must come first. Jesus is dead serious about sin and those that lead His sheep astray. The real church which are born again believers need to put aside all the man-made doctrines and philosophies that separate and focus on the one thing that unites and that is the Love of God shed abroad in our hearts where the Lord reigns and not self.
Wise is the individual that gives away that which they cannot keep in order to gain that which they cannot lose. Giving this life of self for the eternal life of God in Christ.
Colossians 2:8 - Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
Everywhere you turn a man has a word from God but all the words are different. God is not the author of confusion but the author and finisher of our faith. The only Word you need is the Logos Word of God written in the Bible and confirmed by the Rhema Word of God spoken by God.
Matthew 15:9 - But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
Christianity is a big business. It is almost as big a business as Santa Claus. Men have turned serving the Lord into a LIVELIHOOD instead of a LIFESTYLE.
Ephesians 4:14 - That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive.
1 Timothy 4:1 - Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.
My true Brothers and Sisters we are in those latter times. God is pouring out His Spirit on all flesh. The Lord is moving like He has never moved in the past but it is only affecting those that have not been deceived; those willing to lay down their lives for the sheep. The Good Shepherd (Pastor/Bishop/Evangelist/Elder/Preacher/ or whatever title you want) must be willing to die for the sheep. In this day the Shepherds want the sheep to die for them. The "Man of God" is reaching for the status of God. So many know the Word of God but they do not and never have known the God of the Word.
Titus 1:16 - They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
In Acts 2:1/4 the Bible tells us that at Pentecost they (believers/Christians about 120) were in one place in one accord. And what happened? Then God happened. He came in Power of the Holy Ghost as a mighty rushing wind from Heaven. He filled the one place and when that wasn't enough He filled the one accord. Listen Christian if you are reading this then realize that if God's born again children would get in one place (that is found in Romans 12:1/2) and get in one accord (that is found in Matthew 16:24) GOD WOULD SHAKE THE WORLD TODAY.
Oh God send the Rain, send the Fire and send the Revival that your Bride needs. Oh God do a work in us that you might do a work through us. To quote Oswald Chambers. "We want God to show Himself to us but God wants to show Himself in us." That can only happen when we die to ourselves that He might live through us.
